A petroleum research lab to help identify and solve challenging technical problems in petroleum engineering, with a focus on reservoir evaluation and well stimulation.
Friday, February 22, 2013 - Mr. Aniefiok Udoh investigated the effectiveness of well stimulation in the Bakken formation of North Dakota by reviewing 6,000 Bakken wells and conducting statistical, engineering, and economic analyses on selected 150 wells. His work indicated that there exists an optimal well completion and stimulation in the Bakken formation. He passed his MS thesis defense today and will be working as a field engineer in the area of well intervention at Welltec, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Keep up the good work, Aniefiok!
Wednesday, December 12, 2012 - After three and half years of petroleum research at 3S, Gun-ho Kim will start working as an engineer and a manager in Drilling System Engineering (subsea) for Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Inc. in Seoul, South Korea. Congratulations, Daniel!
